Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccinations for the 2026 Influenza seasons are available and recommended to patients of all ages.

Flu vaccination is funded by the Government for all patients in any of the following groups:

  • Patients aged 65 years and over;
  • Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years;
  • First Nations people aged over 6 months;
  • Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy);
  • People aged 6 months and over with certain medical conditions including:
    • Cardiac disease;
    • Chronic respiratory conditions;
    • Immunocompromising conditions;
    • Haematological disorders
    • Chronic metabolic disorders such as Diabetes;
    • Chronic Kidney Disease;
    • Chronic neurological conditions;
    • Long term aspirin therapy in children aged 5-10 years.

Please note, State supplies of Flu-Mist – the nasal spray vaccine alternative for children, have been exhausted and are no longer available. Injectable vaccines remain widely available for children aged 6 months and above.
