About Dr. Salama
Dr. Salama graduated from MUST University in 2003. He then trained at Ain Shams University for 3 years and worked in police hospitals in Cairo and Alexandria for 8 years, completing a diploma in police science and law and a master's degree in science of surgery in 2009. He completed his Fellowship in 2021 while working at Junee Medical Centre.
Dr. Salama is interested in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. He has completed a Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy, an Advanced Certificate of Dermoscopy, an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery, a Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery, a Professional Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine, and an Advanced Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Salama worked in the Emergency Department at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for one year and currently serves as a VMO in Junee Hospital. He has over 20 years of experience in General Practice in both Egypt and Australia, enjoying the connection to patients and their families.
Dr. Salama is happy to see all the different presentations that general practice has to offer but has a particular interest in Skin Checks, Procedures (lipoma removal, ingrowing toenail removal, sebaceous cyst removal, scar and keloid removal, injection of spider veins, sclerotherapy), adolescent and women's health, implanon insertion and removal, aged care, palliative care, and sports medicine. He is strongly committed to preventative health, chronic disease management, and smoking cessation.
In his spare time, Dr. Salama enjoys reading, swimming, and listening to classical music.
