Our Practice is now using Lyrebird – an intelligent medical scribing tool that helps your Doctor record more thorough and accurate clinical notes during your consultation.

Lyrebird listens in the background and captures the relevant details of your conversation, allowing the Doctor to focus on you rather that typing notes. There is NO video recording.

Consult notes are then transcribed directly into your medical record. They are not stored externally or accessible to anyone outside this practice. 

Lyrebird does not make any medical or treatment decisions. Your Doctor retains full control of what information ultimately becomes part of your file; and can add or delete information as necessary.

Lyrebird allows your Doctor to keep better quality consultation notes, to improve continuity of care, save time typing and (hopefully!) reduce patient waiting times.

You will be asked to consent to the use of Lyrebird during your consultation with your Doctor. Your consent is considered ongoing unless you choose to revoke it at any time. Your consent is completely voluntary and you will not be disadvantaged in any way if you request your Doctor not to use this tool.
